You did Get Dressed this Morning, right?

Have you ever had one of those days where you feel like everything is against you? It seemed that the moment your feet hit the floor your person was under attack?

I have had those days. It usually happens right after I have a had a few wonderful days. I was curious about why though, and I discovered something quite interesting.

On days that started wrong and kept going wrong? Guess what? I forgot to get dressed!

Not in the physical sense of course. Spiritually. Have you put your SPIRITUAL clothes on?

Read the Scripture below.

Ephesians 6:10-20 (NKJV)

The Whole Armor of God

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand pin the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 sand having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— 19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

When we fail to but on the armor of God, we are very prone to being attacked by the devil.

So obviously the armor is spiritual.

The helmet of Salvation, is accepting the Jesus is our Savior and that He is God's Son. Salvation is not earned, but it is a gift given to us that we have to accept in order to get it.

The sword of the Spirit, is God's Word. WE are equipped with God's Word by reading and studying the Bible. When you start your day in the Word you equip yourself with the strength of God's word.

The shield of Faith, is believing God. Believe God's Word that He will do as He has promised to do.

The breastplate of Righteousness. This is following God's Word and doing as the Lord has instructed.

The belt of Truth, is knowing God's Word. Knowing the TRUTH of Jesus.

The shoes. Taking God's Word forth and spreading it to others. There are many ways this can be done. Helping a neighbor, helping a stranger, being love to your own family.

With your clothes on, while you will still be attacked by the devil, you will be equipped by the Lord to resist.

Did you put your clothes on today?
