We have a dream... are you in it?

There are times in our lives when we get overwhelmed and we think we can do everything on our own and quickly discover that in fact, we can not. Then there are times in our lives that for what ever reason different things take priority regardless if we understand the reason.

With that said.

I am asking you, our readers, our friends, to help us out. It is our utmost desire to relaunch the ParentsForChrist.com website mid-July. We would love to have fresh content in many areas, scheduled columns, giveaways, sponsors, you name it, perhaps even a redesign. The catch is that right this moment we are down to a laptop and a cell phone to work from. We need help from strong Christians that God is directing to us.

If you are led by God to help us, please email parentforchrist(at)gmail(dot)com and in the subject line We Have A Dream. I am putting a filter on my emails for this subject line to alert me.

If you can't help but know of somebody that can, please, send them this way. I have learned that God can bring things about, all we have to do is ask. I am asking. And I am trusting that His people will allow Him to work through them.

The House is Saved by the Parent

Many parents can take heart to know that the family is saved because of the deeds of the parent. I imagine there are others that worry about it too.

In Genesis 7:1 it says, “Then the LORD said to Noah, “Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation.”

Noah’s family was saved because he was righteous. It was not because his sons were righteous or his daughter in laws. The family was saved because Noah stayed faithful to God.

As a parent we can take heart in knowing that as long as we are staying faithful to the Lord’s teachings, our family has that protection. This gives parents all the more reason to live as Christ and be true Christ followers.
Just as Cain inherited the nature of sin from Adam, so do our children inherit sin. This is why we have to teach our children God’s love, God’s grace, and God’s mercy. God overcomes the sinful nature of man, but that can only happen if we allow it.
